This fast sucks!

Week one done with the preop fast........yesterday the dog wouldn't come near me, must have been afraid..........I'm so hungry guess I was looking at him kinda strange like he was dinner or something.

I'm so sick of yogurt and cottage cheese, don't even like cottage cheese. Hubby makes lots of smoothies for me with different yummy flavours but now I'm so sick of it that I'm not eating enough....yesterday I got the weak kneed feeling.

Oh well, one more week to go.

I know I know... I am there with you. First week I gained weight because I mixed my Myocel with Soy milk. You would think that would be good for you, but was not good for me. Now I mix with Water or coffee and have lost the 5 lbs I gained. My doctor allows me to eat low carb, but I have restricted myself to one SMALL meal a day around 3 pm.

Trying to get my liver in shape. I am with you! You are not alone!

If you're hungry and feeling weak, call your MD. Most of the time they allow you increase your dietary intake by moving to a soft diet.

What kind of diet did your Dr. put you on for pre-op? Mine has had me on a 700 calorie high protein low carb for 2 weeks. Hope I do indeed have the surgery done next Thursday as planned (June 8th). Waiting to hear from my insurance company at this point. Will be out of town until next Tuesday so will have to check back with the Drs. office at the beginning of next week. It would be nice to know how to plan.
