Falling off pre-op diet wagon

Hi Dr. Jossart,

My surgery is scheduled for Friday evening but I am having trouble staying on the pre-op diet. Today I had vegetable Soup (not cream-based) and boiled wantons. I am resolved to do better tomorrow. Have I jeopardised by surgery and is there anything that I could do to make up for my slips? Also, why surgeons' pre-op requirements differ i.e. some are very strict while others could eat what they want up to the day before surgery?

Looking forward to your response. Thanks.
