Realize band removal

Has anyone had a realize band removed during a revision? I am concerned because my port is attached with surgical clips and not sutures.

I don't see how that is going to make a difference? In reality it has a bunch of scar tissue that has to be cut away no matter which way it is attached. So yes, it will hurt afterward, I'm very certain of that, but it isn't going to be a big deal for the surgeon.

Hi.. I had a realize band removed on December 31st. They had no problems taking mine out, and I was not even sore after. I go back March 22nd to have the Sleeve surgery.

Good Luck!

I am sure Dr. Aceves has removed plenty of realize bands. He is very experienced, and you have nothing to worry about in his care.
