  1. I had the band put in in November of 2007 in Tijuana, Mexico. It was great for the first year or so then BAM! I was in and out of the ER being dehydrated and not being able to keep anything down. Finally in November of 2009 my Dr here in California said enough is enough and the band was taken out on Dec. 31st. The plan was to do the sleeve at the same time, but once he got in there he found erosion under the band. He said my stomach needed to heal before he could do the sleeve. I have that surgery scheduled for March 22nd (3 weeks from today) but who's counting? The last two months have been pretty rough. I have watched myself turn back into this person I promised myself I would never be again. I feel no matter what I eat or do, everyday I gain more weight. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how quickly will the weight come back off? Please help!!!
  2. Hi, I was looking around on this site and saw that you had your sleeve done by Dr. Zane. I'm having mine done in a week and a half by Dr. Belzberg. I had originally seen Dr. Zane, but am now having Dr. Belzburg do my surgery. How was your experience? I had the lap band done in Mexico, but due to so many complications with it Dr. Belzberg took it out on Dec. 31st. He wanted to do the sleeve at the same time, but the band had eroded my stomach so I had to wait. Im just getting a little nervous/anxious and would like to hear from someone who had it done at the same place I will be having it. Thank you for your time!

    Realize band removal

Hi.. I had a realize band removed on December 31st. They had no problems taking mine out, and I was not even sore after. I go back March 22nd to have the Sleeve surgery. Good Luck!
  4. I just had my band taken out two weeks ago and will go back and have the sleeve in March. My doctor said he likes to take the fill out right before he cuts the band off. That way there is a little room between the band and your stomach. Im sure all doctors have their own way of doing it though. Best of luck to you!
