life expectancy after WLS

Does anyone have facts or information related to life expectancy after having WLS? One of the things that bothers me the most about getting the sleeve is the inability to have long term results data and possible long term issues if any. Since there are at least some similarities to gastric bypass does long term data exist for this type of WLS or any other types?

Appreciate any thoughts or information. I realize my long term prospects as a morbidly obese person are poor. But just want to go into this with eyes wide open. I'd like to think my long term prospects will improve dramatically by getting the sleeve and for the most part I think I do believe this. But having some addiotnal data would be helpful.

Longhorn, I've read a few different articles regarding this subject. Here is one site that might help:

I'm a pre-op too. My grandmother had more than half of her stomach removed due to severed ulcers when she was in her 40s. She died at 81. The only thing I noticed was how little she ate!
