How many?

I have read that there are only 20 surgeons who perform the VSG worldwide. Surely this is inaccurate??

Who all has had their surgery in the US?

Nonono... it's about 50. Those who have done 250 sleeves AND 250 bypasses. Staple line experience. That is key. If you are looking for the #1 US sleeve surgeon it is Cirangle in SF, CA. If you are looking for the #1 sleeve surgeon in MX it is Aceves.

Bypass is the hard staple line, sleeves are easier. Go with experience to avoid leaks.

Nope, no list.

There probably more than 50 doing it now but a lot of them are newcomers with little experience. Many of them treat their sleeve patients exactly like their bypass patients too, which is annoying. :001_tt2:

I am so irritated that I have not gotten a call back yet. At this point, I'm thinking about switching surgeons, but I've already put a lot of money into this process at this point.

I have to go back to work July 31 and I'm running out of time. So frustrated.
