Ducks in a Row!!

  • Popular Post

Disclaimer I worked medical billing and Insurance Accounts Receivable previously and now I am an RN: I researched all of the requirements of my health insurance plan with UHC. I obtains all of the proof of my 6 months of supervised diet with my PCP that I had been actually doing for 1 year. I wrote my OWN letter of Medical Necessity with my Health info and my Family Medical History. Did my Psych eval and Required Dietician. They sent for approval on 9/25 and I was APPROVED today the first time around. Not bad considering I first went to my surgeon's Seminar on 9/11/13 Surgery set for 10/17/13. I got my email while doing registration for my Labs, Chest Xray and EKG today. I am so excited. Next Friday is my Pre Op visit/weigh in hoping my scale stops the jerk around it's been doing.

  • That's great! I did the same things pretty much. Kept in control of what was needed for approval and helped the surgeon's office to push everything through to my insurance company.
