Is it ok to eat more then a cup if it's salad lett Tom cukes and protein like chicken or shrimp?

I do. I have my salad (the greens) about 1 hour before my dinner. But in restaurants I some times order a salad with a protein, like salmon and eat that all together. I don't use dressing so I save on fats and calories. I stop when I know I will be full and bring home the left overs.

Yes, my doctor says when I'm hungrier than usual to eat all the cucumbers and lettuce I want just to chew it well. It's more or less a "free" food in the aspect the calories are negligible. The dressing is what is not a free food.
