Grrr! Aggravated!

Recommended Posts

When I had my surgery I lost a lot of weight in a very short period of time and am now at the point where I am experimenting with fills and have hit a plateau. I lose about 3 lbs over the five day week, and then gain 3 lbs. over the weekend over and over and am so tired of it!! I am walking 2-3 miles almost every day and am trying to make good food choices but I do count calories on myfitness pal. It just seems like every weekend there is an event and I go a little crazy like an alcoholic in a bar. I can't just stay home but it seems home is the only place I am in control. Ugh sorry, I just had to vent.

According to your profile, you've been banded since March of this year...so like 5 months?

I'd suggest you are doing the right thing by "experimenting with fills"...getting your band properly adjusted. Then it will help with those weekends where there is an event and you go a little crazy. You seem to have done a very good job at dieting the past few months! Congrats! Just keep following up with your surgeon, discussing your eating habits/hunger/portion sizes, etc. He/she will know what to do. :) Best wishes for your continued success.

Hang in there, it will pass. There are aps to log activity and food intake. Watch what you eat.

I hit a plateau and met with a trainer and he said to do more cardio. At least 30 mins, but go for 45 mins. If you're doing that, increase it more. Also add some kind of strength training. That makes a huge help because it burns fat in your resting state.

I avoided some events when I thought I couldn't control myself, or if they just had crap food. For me, there will be other events in the future I can go to when I'm stronger. Which I have only become. I get sick of the thought of Sri king anything but Water or Protein shakes, I don't mind turning crap down now, mainly because that is how I got heavy. Little steps, become huge achievements. You can do it!

Good luck. Hang in there.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
