Less restriction 3 weeks after fill

After I get a fill, I feel great...for about 3 weeks. I have to take small bites, eat small portions and am satisfied for about 3-4 hours. After about 3 weeks it's like the restriction goes away. I can eat larger portions and larger quantities!

Anyone else experience this?

Thank God I have an appointment tomorrow :-)

Hello,

I am assuming you are a new bandster. This is why docs schedule fills every 4-6 weeks *on average) because it gives you enough time to 1) reduce inflammation, 2) adapt to the new restriction and 3) test the band to see if another fill is required.

This is what is supposed to happen until you reach green. So keep going for your fills :)

Once you get to green the restriction is longer lasting. I had my last fill in May and that was 3 years after my fill before that. Also recognize that as you get closer to green your doc will give you smaller volume fills as to not overshoot the green zone and avoid overfilling you. These smaller volumes <MAY> lend to feeling less restricted sooner. Again, just keep your appointments every 4-6 weeks as doc orders until you feel you are at that perfect spot
