I asked myself right up until they wheeled me into OR and said "OK, we're going to put you under now". My Surgeon looked down at me and said "Are you ready?" I said "let's both have a great day today" and asleep I went. Perfectly normal to be nervous. I would do this over in a heartbeat. Good luck!!

Thanks jim. Really hope that's how it goes for me. I think once it's done I'll be fine but it's the initial waiting and getting anxious.

it's common to be nervous. i was fine up until it was time to go under, but that was just the nerves of being put out. i get that way for any surgery, but that said, i'd do it again in a second. i do not regret having the banding done.

I got my band yesterday. I told them I was nervous and they put some feel good in my IV and I wasn't nervous anymore!!! When it was time to go out they told me "you are going to sleep now!" There was not time to refuse!!! Lol! I woke up in recovery. Felt like a minute had passed by but really it was an hour and a half. Easy peasy!!!!
