Band wearing out?

Went to the dr yesterday and he stated there is a time limit on my band 10 to 15 years top!

I am 8 years out and have to do testing to see how things are going.

What are my options after this, It didn't sound like he wanted to put another band on?

Anyone else with this issue??

Lynne

My doctor said that a band could wear out, but it doesn't have to. He said just like any foreign object placed in your body may wear out, just like a knee or hip replacement, a band may have to be replaced; but it doesn't mean it will give out. He said it was something that I shouldn't worry about, it may last my life time and it might not - but the better I take care of it the longer it will last me.

Ditto. I'm banded for life too.
