Hi

I made it!! 1 week on liquids... I thought it was going to be impossible.

I would have to honestly say.... this has been one of the most emotionally draining weeks of my life.

Getting used to not having food to make me feel better, getting used to the 'morning tightness' from the band, having to mentally deal with my house holding eating usual dinners, forcing myself to go for a walk even when I am not feeling 100%, and not being at work (I am a workaholic). I would have to say that I have some very supportive colleagues, family members and friends

I did although have a little cry on Friday night, just out of feeling sorry for myself. I quickly snapped out of it and felt better after weighing myself... 14lb down... Even though a lot of it must be Water, it still felt good :D........ 100lb to go lol

I also started taking vitamins; Multivitamins with Iron (from boots), Vitamin d3 25mg (holland and barretts) and b12 1000mg (holland and barretts), just to support my general health. They are also tiny tablets... so it is a bonus... easy to swallow.

I have also finished my Fraxiparine 0.6ml today, a daily injection that I have been taking to prevent blood clots, which burns AF!! I will still be wearing my night socks for another 5 days and walking for at least 15/20 minutes a day.

In general, I am starting to feel better. :P

I have 4 ports, 4 lots of stitches. I had one lot taken out yesterday as it got tight. 3 left...The nurse said my wounds are healing well but just not ready to be taken out yet. I cannot wait to wash my hair properly and have a proper shower.

Please feel free to comment, and leave notes on your experience so far.

Also.......

Can someone recommend some tasty low calorie cold and hot liquids in the UK please? I have a blender if it is home made.

I would REALLY appreciate it.

:D

Did you get a fill at your surgery, or do you have to wait so many weeks? You sound tighter than I am. I have a 10 cc band with no Fluid, you?

Thank you Gav!

I am going to start Maxitone, Sculptress Diet 209 calories with green tea extracts and 33.3g of protein per 100g.

What is Heralife like? I have heard of it, but no one has explained it....

Hi Steph,

I have a 10cc band, no fill. I have to wait around 4-6 weeks before my first fill it really depends if I need it. I have been reading peoples posts and mine does seem tight, not sure if I am just swollen still or its psychological to be honest.

Well done. I'm nearly one week post op and I feel great. Been having 1/3 cup of soup to satisfy hunger pangs. I'm gonna try do liquid for a month. I'm using herbalife shakes for my main source of Protein with whey protein fruit drinks.
