First post!

Hi all ! I have been reading forums from Lapbandtalk for a few days now. I am not usually a forum kind of girl but everyone here seems so supportive of each other I had to join ! I just had my second nutrition appt today and have to diet for SIX months before my insurance will approve anything. I am excited to start my journey although dieting in the past hasn't been so successful :/ tonight is my last 'hoorah' of binge eating and will start fresh in the morning. Have any of you had to do the 6 month nutrition appointments or just me? Let me know your thoughts I'm so excited !

You'll do fine. Before the surgery I ate like a madwoman. I could down 1/2 lb. of Pasta at a single sitting. I ate all the time. Now' date=' I eat around 1,000 calories a day. I track everything I eat in Myfitnesspal and I'm doing really well. Sixty-three lbs. since January....17 of those during the pre-surgery diet.[/quote']

This is great inspiration ! I'm so glad because we've all tried dieting in the past which makes me wonder how lap band is so successful. You still have to diet on the band which makes me question how successful ill be because I've failed at dieting in the past. Hearing all the success stories is really motivational. Congrats on the weight loss !
