I'm new here. I've been doing a lot of research on lapband, and I think I'm ready for my first consult. I need to find a surgeon though. I'm in Skokie which is north of Chicago. Anyone have suggestions?

I used dr Vafa Shayani in Bolingbrook but the drive is a pain (about 45 mins from my house but he also has an office in Oakbrook which is 35 mins)

At Skokie hospital they have a barbaric team that includes dr Erwin denham who I hear is good. I met him once and he seems really sweet

Thanks! Yeah - I saw a lot about Dr. Denham and tried to make an appointment, but he is quite difficult to get into. So I have an appointment with someone in his practice (John Linn) - hoping he's as good as Denham.

Hey there! I live in the far northwest burbs...think Waucounda area. I made my first consult with Dr. Rantis of the Kane Center which is located in Hoffman Estates. They have a really great team of doctors there. My first consult was just for me to get more information. I made an appointment to meet with him again in July. Looking forward to it because I believe I'm now ready. Good luck with your consult.
