am i broken?

Got my first fill today. I'm 7 weeks postop. Have 5ccs in my 10 cc band. He put in 2cc today.

I felt the restriction when the surgeon was putting in the Fluid and drinking Water but i haven't felt it all evening otherwise.

Its it possible that my physical makeup means i don't have the nerves or sensations in my stomach that signals feelings of satiety or being full?

Everyone always says that after a fill that they have all this restriction and i really dont feel that different at all.

So is it possible that my stomach is broken and it will cause me to never be successful at this?

  • What do you expect it to feel like? My own fills never felt like anything at first. Over the course of a few days I would become very aware that it would take less and less to hit that "S" mark....

  • Most of us took 3-6 fills to feel anything. There's nothing broken and no need to worry. Just keep following your docs orders and go back for more fills till you get the one fill that gives you restr

It can take several months and several fills to get you to the green zone. Be patient. There's a reason they do it this way- otherwise they'd just fill the sucker all the way up from the get go, rig

Surgeon said no fill because i lost 7lbs from previous month...so he wants me to keep doing what I'm doing and check in again next month.he thinks I'm close to the green.

My surgeon is very conservative.. He will not give me a fill if I am losing on track.. and he ask me if I feel hungry before 4 hours.. I was banded in Jan and only have 2 cc's.. in a 10 cc band.. no fill at the time of surgery and first fill was not until 2 months post op.. I followed his rules post fill liquids and graduated slowely back to food.. never had foam.. or nausea.. losing fast is not always great.. slow and steady seems to be the way to go.
