I am one week post surgery today and experienced hiccups--but I was not eating--and hadn't actually eaten anything for almost six hours when they occurred.
I read a lot about people who say that this is a soft indicator of being close to full--but what about hiccups from lack of eating? Could this be a sign that I have gone too long without having something in my stomach? I had been sipping Water during the course of that non-eating.
I also read that it could be a sign of a slipped band--but since I haven't even had a fill and am only a week out--could there be any other reasons triggering this to occur?
I don't know if it matters but I did start the mushy stage two days ago and haven't had any issues with the transition from liquids.
Thanks for your input!
