Pain on the port side

I was banded 9/25/12...down 41 pounds! Recently I have been getting weird pain on the side where my port is. Almost like I can feel something above the port and it annoys me when I bend to tie my shoe. Not sure what it is....I have been feeling fine it's just the nagging soreness. Any thoughts????

Have you been doing any ab exercises recently? Those can make the muscles around the port hurt more than the muscles on the non-port side. Just a thought. I've had no problems with my port hurting (except when I do crunches), but others may have more experience with port complications than I do. Good luck.

I agree; when I do more ab type exercises, I do get pain on that side. My Dr. Said it was do to the port pinching or rubbing against the muscles on that side. However, if it continues for you, I would have your Dr. Check it at your next visit.

I do to have pain I went to my doctor and he said that was normal..

I get pain sometimes around port. Usually because I sleep on it.
