How much to fill

I have been banded since 2010 and have lost over 100lbs. I have a 10cc band which was comfortable set at 5.8cc with great success. Last summer I got sick and had to have an un-fill. One we started filling back up again, I had gained 20lbs :( I have been set now back at 5.8cc but I don't feel the same level of restriction as before and it takes more food to keep me satisfied. I have heard of this happening. I am going for another fill in a month (earliest I can get in). And am wondering how much to have put in. My surgeon (who lives quite far away) set me up with a more local doctor to do my fills for me so I am kind of on my own when it comes to how much to put in. Any thoughts. I am scared to put too much in and then have to wait 2-4 weeks for unfill. I was thinking 0.2cc but wondering if that's too little...... Gah!

I have no idea how you would make that decision as my dr never asked me how much to put in.... He just seems to know. Maybe call you surgeon before you visit the local doc for advice.

Even if it's not your surgeon, if he's doing the fill he has to have your band history. This, coupled with the information you tell him, should allow him to decide how much of a fill you need.
