April 11, 200620 yr Is is a normal thing for the surgeon who put the lap band on to be the one to do the endoscopy? Yes it is normal for this to happen. IN fact if they can't do it then I highly recommend they be IN the room when it is done. They are for the most part the only ones that know what erosion actually looks like.
