Pouch

Hi everyone... I have had my band just over a month. I have had one fill and haven't really experienced true restriction (I don't think). I have been pretty naughty over Christmas, and eaten anything I have wanted. I have the feeling of "I've eaten too much" but have not experienced PB'ing at all. My concern is that I am causing my pouch to stretch by over eating the last week or two... Can it happen that fast? I'm usually quite good with diet. But I'm definatly concerned that I've done damage :o| I need to get back to following the rules... Has anyone experienced the stretched pouch... Are there signs or symptoms?

Stretching the pouch? Probably not. At this point you have no or very little saline in your band so the opening is large allowing food to just pass through. Your pouch can only hold 1-2 ozs of food and if you did stretch it, you would experience a lot of discomfort and pain with a stuck episode.

I agree with 2muchfun. Also restriction happens over a period of time. Sometimes a fill takes 10 to take effect. Most people don't feel restriction for a few fills.

Happy Holidays. Go back to the dr orders

talk to your doctor about when you can get another fill. unfortchanly cookies and candy and other sweet thing slide right by no matter how tight your band is so get that stuff out of your house now.

Depends on how fast you ate. Slow it down and get back on the wagon. Happy New Year!
