Slow esophagus

My daughter and I were both banded 1/5/12. I have lost 60 , she has lost 25 and has had 7 unfills. Today she did a barium swallow and was fold she has a slow esophagus. It does not push food down in a timely manner. They think that has been her problem. Gave her a .2 fill and said to wait longer between bites. Nothing else to be done. Anybody ever hear of this?

My older brother has had this problem his whole life. He takes small bites, chews well and eats really slow. He never had lapband though.
