Im doing great. Starting to fight the head hunger games now until my first appointment. still have a little less than 2 weeks! Other than that im doing great! What about you?

  • First fill today- it was ok! The doctor numbed me and found my port on the first try!! I def recommend getting the numbing agent as I felt no pain! Doc initially put in 5ccs but I had difficulty swa

  • I do have a 45 minute commute so I'll try to remember to drink then too. But I'm usually too busy driving fast and switching lanes. Lol. I think I'll try a Water bottle that actually has measuremen

Good luck and congrats!!!! I'm post op 5 days. It took 3 days before I could hold even an ounce of anything but clear liquids. Yesterday was the first day I was able to get 2 shakes down! Everyone is different so it's hard to say what to expect. Just listen to your body. If its not ready it will let u know! As far as the lax approach. I suggest not to and there are 2 reason I say this. One is because for a week u will not be taking in enough calories / nutrients so u don't want to completely deprive your body and second most likely the liquids will move thru u once u start drinking the shakes. If u have problems with constipation after the surgery then u can take a stool softener.

Hope that helps!

Yeah I agree. I actually get full faster and with less but im hungrybagain in a short few hours. Or when im trying to sit and do homework thats another problem. Mindless eating is ehats killing me! Never realized i just ate all day until now!!! Ugh.

I was banded on the 19th also. I didn't have a pre-op diet because they move my procedure date up. I have lost 12 pounds post-op. Hangi.g in there until 1st fill on 1/17.

I had mine on the 19th as well. All is going well, even went and watched the Cowboys vs Skins game last night and frooze my booty. But I didn't cheat :-) My only problem is pain at the port site. It hurts to tie my shoes or bend over and it still hurts to sleep on my side. Is anyone else having this?

Im at 2 1/2 weeks out and i still have trouble depending on how i lean over. It takes up to 6 weeks for your port site to heal.

I'm two weeks postop tomorrow. Everything is going well. I hardly feel any restriction now. I wish they wouldn't make me wait til February 1st for my first fill. I went to mushies after the first week. I'm down 10lbs. Shoulder/neck pain keeps coming back. Happy New year fellow bandsters! It's going to be our year!!

Banded on 19th also. Only complaint is swelling/bloat. Down 20 lbs but pants still fit same at waist cuz of bloat. More room in the thighs though. Doctor appt next Monday. Have no idea when I might expect to get a fill.

Wishing you all the best!

That sounds about right. My tummy is still bloated and im nearly 3 weeks out! But i do have more room in y highs too! Good luck hopeful u will find out soon! I get my first fill on the 8th!

Ok gonna whine. The bloat is driving me crazy cuz it's all above my belly button. My clothes look funny on me. Ugh. Any suggestions on getting it to diminish?

One minute im bloated the next im not so nerve bothering.

IM MY OWN MOTIVATION

I really Dont have any. The only thing that has helped mildly is the gas x. I think it mostly will just take time for all the swelling to go down then the gas/boating will diminish.
