I am starting a new job tomorrow. My insurance wont kick in until Feb. 1. I know the lapband is covered. When should i go to a seminar for lapband? Do i start looking now for a bariatric Dr.? Where do i start?

Whilst I'm no expert on the USA system, suggest gathering and seeking as much info and guidance sooner rather than later. Will give you longer to see if your ready to make the lifestyle changes that also come with the lapband.

I suggest you research local surgeons, contact their offices and see what steps you can take pre insurance kicking in.
