Slower Progress

Hi! I just turned 55 yesterday so I feel a renewed effort to continue on my new journey of weightloss. I don't exercise regularly (bad knees) and I know that may lead to some of my plateau but I do continue to seek protein first when eating and sometimes give in to that mint chocolate chip ice cream ==but only a bit to settle my taste buds! I have lost almost 100 pounds so I am VERY happy with my lapband. I haven't had complications once my fill was tweaked to it's potential...and I am so happy. I am the only one who knows that I had this procedure as my significant other was no support at all. Those who work with me just know I was observing portions and content...and because the weight loss was a slower speed, no prying personal questions had to be fielded. At that time, I wasn't sure I'd be successful and didn't want that humility again, therefore, my secret. I wanted to be thinner. My twin and I were opposites and the comments of 'skinny and fatty' were just hurtful. Now we share clothes and life is good.

Hope you're still seeing success - no matter the speed of change!!
