3.5 Years Banded

Hi there

I have received an email today to say I had joined 4 years ago and asked for an update so here it is.

I was banded Feb 2009 and thought it was wonderful till I had a slip in June but the band was able to be repositioned. Then the next May slipped again this time it was undone and left inside of me for 5 weeks until the Dr went back in and stitched it in this time. I am so unlucky with the band and as the French mid band is not usually stitched in and I for some reason don't make adhesions it slipped. Now it is stitched in I have not had a problem since but with a lot of hard work I have lost 30k. (66lb).

I am very happy with the band but I have had to work very hard and still have 8k to go to my goal weight.

Sorry you had a terrible start and glad things worked out eventually. Congratulations on the 66 lbs! That's awesome!

Best wishes for your future!
