Restriction Or Suppression?

Hi everyone!

I'm a little confused....Does the Lapband suppress the appetite? Or is it about the restriction? Or both? My primary doc said it doesn't suppress!? And can you really stay satisfied for 4-5 hrs?

Thanks guys!

Thanks, Goalseeker! Have you had your 1st fill yet?

I went in for my first appointment to discuss a fill. My dr and I agreed that since I seem to be in that "green zone" a fill at this point would be unnecessary. I had 5cc put in at surgery and don't need anymore yet. I have read as you lose weight the band also loosens so I may need one down the road.

Thanks everyone! I'm getting excited & trying to be patient.....still waiting on my tests to come back.

I'm in disbelief with the small amount of food & being satisfied for 4-5 hrs......It would truly be a miracle for me! I hope to hear something this week.

Thank you again for the awesome responses!
