Real Food

Hi all, I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow and will be ok'd to eat REAL food! I'm so excited! I'm nervous because my band won't actually be filled until I need it. I don't want to make a bad food choice.

Any suggestions on food to start out with?

My best advice is to try things one at a time. Don't take a bite of Protein, then veggies, then fruit/carbs. If something doesn't sit right you may not know which it was. There are a few things that I learned the hard way I can't tolerate anymore. It's kind of a trial-and-error type situation.

As tempting as it was to eat so many things (since we can finally eat!!) I stuck to the basics for a while - protein, fruit, and veggies - until I got used to eating real food with the band.

If you haven't already, I would suggest meeting with a nutritionist. They will help you with your meal planning and food choices. Good luck.
