Pre- Op Blood Work

Question!: I'm 7 days away from surgery and I got an email today stating that my white blood count is high and they need me to go get my labs redone a few days before surgery. Well I read the email to late and now I have to wait till Monday to find out what that means. Does anyone know if this can postpone surgery?

    High white blood count often means some kind of infection - they may want to put you on antibiotics before they proceed - hope this helps x
