I haven't had my surgery yet. I have one more visit with the nutritionist and then she will submit her report to the doctor. After that they will send it to my insurance company for approval. They said that could take another month. I am sure anxious to get this going!

Congratulations on your weight loss! That is wonderful! Keep up the good work!

When I had My surgery I was told by a lot Of people that it was going To be very painful And I would have a lot Of gas they where All wrong I brought gas x pills And didn't take not a one pill as far as pain I spent 1 night in the hospital And when the doctor sent me home he gave me oxcodone And I took only one pill For pain And threw the rest Out if you follow the doctor orders you will be just fine And good luck on your New journey ....

You are lucky, Charles! I had the surgery Friday. Surgery was a breeze, even with a hiatal hernia repair. However, the gas pains have been brutal. I took Gas-X, but the gas I'm experiencing isn't intestinal, it's the CO 2 used to extend the abdominal cavity and must be absorbed by the body. Walking helps, but some experience the CO 2 pain more than others, even when following doctor's orders to a T. So glad for you, though!
