Colonoscopy After Lapband Surgery

Anyone had a colonoscopy after being banded? Is there anything special you had to do?

Nothing special, totally different end of the plumbing. Shouldn't have any effect in the colonoscopy at all!

Its kinda hard to get through the prep just because its the kind of stuff you would like to be able to hold your nose and skull, but you cant with a band - its fizzy and filling and you have to sip it (and taste it unfortunately). Other than that, no nothing special. I've had major surgeries since being banded and they've all been just fine.

I had a colonoscopy post op and they didn't have to do anything w/the band. Of course, the pre-op sucks w/all the laxatives!! If you ever have to do an EGD, they do have to deflate your band usually. Depends on how tight you are. Mine had to be deflated.
