When Did You Feel Restriction?

Recommended Posts

I'm curious...at what cc's did you begin to fill restriction?

I have had my band for almost 2 years but haven't had a fill in over a year...I'm getting back on the "band"wagon. I went to the doc yesterday and he put in .5cc's of Fluid. I have the large 14cc band, and currently have around 8cc in the band. He wanted me to do fluids yesterday and mushies today, and solid foods tomorrow. So I haven't yet had a chance to ascertain where I'm at with my restriction.

I'm curious where others started feeling restriction?

I had some restriction right from the start but I would say I didn't hit the green zone till about my 4th fill. I stayed at that fill level for over a year and just a couple of months ago had 0.2 cc's added to my band. AMAZING how such a little bit made such a huge difference. Remember it is different for everyone. Some people lose all their weight and never have a fill.

Good Luck!

Tough questions - I'm debating whether I'm in the Green Zone yet or not. I have a 11 cc band and have 6 cc's in it. I don't get my "full" signal when I'm eating, but I do stay full for 4-5 hours after I eat around 1 cup of food. Maybe I'm just not tuning into my body well enough. If I'm not in the Green Zone now, I'm very close.

I think it varies because of the weight you lose, so everyone is different.

I agree... I was in the "green zone" but after losing 100 more pounds I needed another fill.

It really is an indiviual thing.

I have a 14 cc band with 9.5 cc in it thus far. I feel I am close to the green zone. I am eating 3 meals a day but still feel I need 2 small Snacks. I do eat about 1 1/3 or so cups at lunch/supper.

I was banded Jun 18, 2012, I have had two fills and I only feel a restiction when I eat bread. Other than that I can eat anything I want. Maybe my band is not tight enough.. mmm!

I only started feeling restriction after my last fill, which brought me up to 6.6cc. I hope to really start to shed the weight now!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
