Sounds like you have head hunger. I think thats the hardest thing to beat. We have used food for our friend and outlet for so long that to just give it up is hard and fact is we have to have food to live so not like a drug addict we cant just say we wont be exposed to it anymore. I know there are times i have something i know i dont need and shouldnt eat. Or i eat to fast or something along that line and become sick. This is a learning process none of us in this group have become an expert yet. We are all learning to help the band work for us. I say relizing what the problem is one of the first big steps. I wish had a way to tell you to get over this step but the only thing i can tell you is keep trying and try to advoid things (foods) that tempt you to eat to much.

thank you for your help it means a lot to me ! :)

I also have been dealing with this lately. I was banded April 13th and haven't had a fill yet.

Up until the last week or so I have been able to overcome those temptations. Now I find myself eating when I am not hungry. If I keep myself busy and away from food it's easy to avoid the temptation but that has not been easy to do the past couple of weeks. When I get back to my regular school schedule in a couple of weeks (I'm a special ed aid) I expect that to help a lot. Until then I have a feeling I will be fighting myself quite a bit.

I go back to see my surgical PA on September 16th and think I will be getting a fill.

Head hunger. We all have it. I just delt with it today. I find that if I have unhealthy food it makes the head hunger worse, especially the next day. I just keep repeating "It's ok to be hungry" Even though I know I'm not really hu fry and it's just head hunger.
