8 Months For Me

It's been 8 months since i got my lab band. Dec 16th.

How is everyone doing/??

I think that I could be doing better. I have only lost a total of 30 pounds and gain back 4 last month. I am just feeling like need more in my band. I just got filled yesterday. I now have 6cc in my band. But, I do have a larger band.

I know that the last 6 months I have had a lot going on and have been a little stressed so I am contributing my lack of weight loss to that. I know I should have any excuses but, it was alot going on. i started a new position at my job, I have been studying for a certification test, and dealing with buying and moving into a new home. That alone was a big ball of stress.

So, as I sit here writing this on my 8 month anniversary. I have decided that I am going to kick my butt back in to gear and plan on getting everything back on track. So, at my 1 year anniversary in December I can have something to be proud of.

We can't change the past but can certainly impact the future. Be strong, you didn't go through all of this not to be successful. Now that things have settled, I hope you find that strength (and the recent fill) to get back on track. We only have one body and need to make the best of it. I had initially started pursuing the lapband in January 2011. I had a lot of personal struggles last year and knew I wasn't in a good place to focus on me. I am glad I waited and am in a much better "place" where I am the priority. Now that you are able to put the other big life events behind you, you will get to that place and realize you owe this to yourself and you deserve to be healthier. Good luck and be strong.
