Day 3 Post Op And A Question

I was to switch to full liquids today and bad some runny cream of wheat and I have diarrhea! Has anybody else had this problem post op?

Yes! It's just because you haven't had any type of solid food. It got to a point, for me, that my protein shakes were coming out as quickly as they were going in. =/ Obviously if it gets too bad that you are getting dehydrated or it doesn't subside once you get some more solid food in you, then call your doc.

yep........fluids in and fluids are bound to come out. just keep drinking. my dr okay'd me some immodium after i called and complained.....but check with yours first...its normal :)

I was so glad to have the runs after several days of constipation post surgery last week. Now that I've moved onto soft foods, it has become more regular.
