Hey I am getting banded August 30th. I am looking for a mentor to help me through, someone who would like to communicate through email/fb/text as I hate the phone and don't have time for personal visits.

I do have friends who have been banded, however they aren't on good paths, they just eat the same foods but less. I want total success.

I was banded on May 31st after 2 years worth of research. I work for a large insurance co & after seeing good & bad results of the band i decided to read everything i could before getting surgery.

It has been a life changing experience & I too make bad choices sometimes but what most important is using your tool. My husband was also banded after me so we're learning together. My weightloss has been slow by choice. I've had 2 conservative fills b/c I don't want any stuck issues. I have 2 very active teenager & don't want to spend my days throwing up:). I'm happy to text/email anytime. Having a support system is important. Private message me if interested in being buddies.

Hi Cass,

I was banded Feb 28,2011 and to date lost 115lbs. I recently had a small band slip and got a complete unfil. I go back next week to the doc and see if it corrected itself and start the fill process again. It was a hard blow to take cause you do get attached to the band once you've had my success and feel naked when it's not filled to help you.
