Ahhh Sooo Nervous

Recommended Posts

I was just told my tentative date of surgery being September 12th and I'm freaking out. I smoke which I know is bad but I'm so stressed and can't give up everything I love all at once. I'm also nervous because I'm 25 and I don't know what to expect and or how hard it will be for me to still enjoy the things that have obviously gotten me here to start. Ahhh any words of advise wil be greatly appreciated!!

My op date is the 12th of August. I'm Irish too, I live up north, and I smoke too lol. I'm on my pre op diet and yes it is SO flipping hard and I had to stop smoking, but all I can tell you is the thing that keeps me going is the thought of me not being fat anymore! I'm just so excited to loose weight and I would do anything to loose it, so of I have to stop smoking for a few weeks and diet then il do it to try be healthier. Il probably smoke again after my op though lol. But just think of how good your going to look. And remember how dangerous it is for you if you don't quit smoking! Just try have one smoke a week but 2 weeks before your op you need to seriously not have any. Best of luck! Btw who are you getting your surgery with?

Smoking is worse for your health than being overweight .. I know how hard it is to quit as I am six years smoke free but somehow it always takes news of an irreversible complication or disease related to smoking to convince someone the dangers. Not trying to preach just saying one in five deaths are related to cigarettes ... If someone said you can ride these buses but one out of the five will crash yet you can opt not to get on the bus at all what would you do?

Sorry I now teach fresh start smoking cessation as a give back ... I had cancer due to smoking at 40 and I survived praise god.... I consider quitting one of the greatest gifts I gave myself... Just food for thought.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. ย Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ˜ญ. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! ๐Ÿ˜ž
