Reflux real bad

I was banded on March 10th,2006. Everything seems to going fine except for some serious reflux and constipation. I am only doing liquids, and slowly at that. I have never experienced relux before my band. WIll a perscription refux med help?:)

It might help and you should call your surgeon. (But those drugs probably shouldn't be taken forever, so give yourself time to heal and then bug your doctor nonstop.)

You're 5 days out from banding.. Call your doctor!! This could be a simple case of swelling, restriction, etc.. OR it could be something more complicated. Please call your doctor.. . :)

Doug, I responded on the other thread you started about your reflux. In that thread, what you described sounded more like gas pains from the surgery than reflux.

My *guess* is that you wouldn't be constipated 6 days post-op if you're on any kind of a liquids only post-op diet. Of course, if you have pain, etc. - that's another story... but just because you aren't dropping off any kids at the pool doesn't mean you're constipated. I only bake brownies about once a week now. :)

I contacted my Dr. and was told to start walking and drink real slow in small sips. Besides walking, I have been sipping. Weetsin, I loved the baking brownies thing.
