Wanting To Get Started

I started a new job. I was told they have BCBS, but enrollment isnt until September. I thought, ok I can handle a few months without insurance. Only the news got worse.I now find out they have BCBS Tennessee, which does not support/cover weight loss surgery. I was also told it is not a good insurance for my area and alot of doctors will not take it. I live in Lufkin Texas. I would like to know if anyone has had the lap band procedure in or around Lufkin Texas. If so, did you have insurance that supported/covered your procedure? Whom is your employeer? I am in the medical field-LVN. I tried to get insurance on my own, but insurance like that does not cover weight loss surgery. Due to this I am thinking of getting a new job, might as well get a job that has insurance that will help me achieve my weight loss goal.
