I'm new to this site. Signed up yesterday which was my first day of pre-op diet. Surgery is 6/26. While I am mostly excited about having the procedure done, I am somewhat anxious over all the talk I've been reading about post op complications and/ or how long recuperation seems to be taking for people. So I am just curious, is there anyone out there recently banded who hasn't had recuperation issues??? I mean I can see a couple of days where you don't feel good after it's first done, but I've seen posts talking about "weeks" after banding and they still can't sleep, shoulder pain, and unable to swallow or keep liquid down. That worries ME!!! Why is it that people are having trouble swallowing after banding? My dr. said I shouldn't even notice the band (unless I over eat or eat wrong (sticky) foods). Anyway if you experienced a fairly quick and tolerable recovery after banding, PLEASE SHARE!
Thnx!
