What happens at your pre-op appointment depends on your surgeon's protocol.

As I recall, my pre-op appointment I spent some time with my surgeon (last-minute questions), his nurse (going over what was going to happen at the hospital before and after surgery, and my post-op instructions), and the dietitian (going over the pre-op and post-op eating plans). I also had to sign release papers.
