Post op food plan?

I'd love a sticky for people to share their recommended post op food plan.

My surgeon, and I am still preop, suggests 30 days of Clear liquids, followed by a lead into mushy foods.

Other people on this board are having Protein drinks their first week.

I PLAN to follow my doctor's advice, but it is curious that every doc seems different.

What are your doc's recommendations?

I started protein drinks on day 4. Can't post the details of my menu, they're copyrighted, but I can summarize later when I have it in front of me.

i am 4 days post op and my doc advises liquids for 24-48 hours, but his liquids include oatmeal, applesauce, yogurt, cream of wheat etc. then next four weeks add in soft foods i.e. banana's, soft melons, fish....

i can honestly say, it has been hard trying to find something to eat that isn't sweet.... applesauce was nasty, way too sweet!

Here's my plan:

Days 1-4: Clear Liquids

Days 5-6: Full Liquids

Weeks 2 and 3: Mushies (cream Soups, blended stuff but a long list of what not to have)

Weeks 4 and 5: Solids but a pretty restricted list to follow

Week 6: First Fill and all foods 3 days after first fill
