I am running a 5k tomorrow. Should I be carb loading today? AND if so How many grams of carbs should I eat today?

My daughter is a competive soccer player; her team physican willhave her eat about 300 carbs within 12 hours of a 90min intense game. She likes to eat whole wheat Pasta loaded with veggies. And she will down a couple Protein bars as well. She won't eat anything 1 hour before the game. She also drinks gaderade about 2 hours before playing.
