Volume Or Weight?

This is a question I've been wanting to ask since I had the band installed back in December. When we're only supposed to have 4 ounces of food, is that by weight or by volume? Been successful so far using weight, but was curious.

Normally I would agree, except that there are liquid ounces and our stomachs are volume oriented, hence my confusion. Thanks for the help!

It doesn't matter if liquids are measured by cup or ounces, either way it's the same. There are 8 ounces in a cup, so no matter which you measure it it's still requires a measuring cup and the result will come out the same.

If you're talking 4oz of meat, it has to be weighed. If you're talking 4oz of milk, it's a measuring cup and will be a 1/2 cup.
