Hi there!
Firstly, i'd like to know anybody's thoughts on my chances of getting the surgery approved by my insurance (SSM Exclusive Choice). I'm 22, female, BMI 33, obese for 7 years, family history of obesity, mild stress- induced asthma and a history of ob/gyn problems (amennorhea) with no diagnosis, but have been treated with progesterone for years. I lead a very active life and keep a fairly good diet. But, I can't escape the genetic cards I was dealt. If the Apocalypse ever comes, i'll survive because my body clings to every last calorie! I understand the commitment and work it will take, but as I get older this obesity will cost me more than a band will. I'm trying to nip this thing in the bud before I end up like my dad (400 lbs) and with DM or some other preventable thing. So anyway, how hard do you think it will be to get? And also, if there is anyone out there with issues similair to mine, i'd just love to talk with you. And also, how long can the band stay in?
Thank You!!!
