Really Need A Buddy?

I am just beginning my journey and have been feeling like no one really gets what I'm going through at home. My fiancé is extremely supportive but it's hard for him to really get what I'm going thru. I've been overweight my whole life and was picked on more like harassed my whole life he's always been a athlete and always under two hundred pounds. I just need a band buddy who can hold me accountable or just to lean on each other for support. Thanks!

I had lap band surgery exactly 1 year ago. I've lost 55 pounds. Not as fast as the surgeon thought I would' date=' but I know it's 55+ less than I would weigh if I hadn't had it done. [/sub']

It's ok to take the slow boat to China...I needed that time to succeeed. I was banded December 21, 2010. I was 268 and down to 189... My body is molding back with a little slower loss. I finally got an adjustment that spiked a little more restriction...less eating hence the weight loss! Biut only recently.

i cud use the support also' date='i got banded 4.24.12, so im just 7 days out but need all the support i can get,ty[/quote']

You are gonna do great!!!! Just take it easy because you are newly banded, this is a process to take day by day. Just stay within the guidelines your doctor has recommended and don't go off that path as much as you would like to. You will succeed because you took this step to be healthier for you!

I was banded on January 31, 2012 and you can also email me or anyone that wants any support. I am doing pretty good and have lost 23lbs and from size 14 to a 10 now. my band is almost 4cc not exactly 4.

good luck everyone ;)

I was banded 8/19/11 and to this day I've lost almost 70lbs, only about 15 from my goal weight. You can add my to your friends list, take this journey on a by day basis. The best of luck to you.

I recently had surgery (April 12, 2012). I can be your band buddy.
