First Fill Yesterday

So I got my first fill yesterday of 3cc. Liquids yesterday and could advance to solids today. I was only able to eat about 5 bites of my super yummy salad a moment ago at lunch.

I was surprised it happened so quickly, but I got a full feeling in my chest and had read enough here to know to stop eating. I know that it will probably take more fills but I am excited today to at least be on my way!!!!!

Congrats Mom2Many.. I am excited to hear that your first fill left you feeling full with such a small amount of food. I was banded 3/21 and have my first fill scheduled on 5/17 and can not wait. Can you tell me what if any pain you felt and any tips on what to expect. Congradulations again very proud of you. !!@!@

Thank you! I was banded 3/20. :) I'm sure it is due to swelling but I am glad to feel full so quickly.

It was zero pain. My dr told me to push my stomach out and then he cleaned the port site and inserted the needle. Easy peazy! I don't know if it makes a difference but I can feel my port. It might be more uncomfortable if they had to dig around to find it.

Good luck!!!!!

Very good.. I can see my port and so it should not be hard to find. Good luck i cant wait to see your progress.
