Changing Taste Buds Anyone?

Hi! I've noticed lately my ability to taste food is almost gone. Like everything is bland and doesn't have any taste.

I don't have a cold or sinus problem so my ability to smell is not impaired. I do notice when I smell food it doesn't instantly make me "hungry" like it did pre-banding. Pre-banding I would eat for numerous reasons - if I was in the right place at the right time, head hunger, stressed, anxious, etc and now it's only when I'm hungry.

So I wonder, has my brain finally caught up with my band after almost a year? Is my fill level finally what it should be after 5 fills on the big band? Have I lost some of the "drive" or desire to feed the food monster? Has anyone else experienced this? Hopes this makes sense....

Ya know what, my taste buds havent changed much l... but the way I look at food has changed and the way other people look while they are eatting really turns me off. Like I cant watch my mom eat dinner because of her portions. I know I could NEVER eat like that again, but just knowing I did and knowing portion sizes now I can't watch other people eat! Very werid~ I think that my mind and my band are in synch sometimes, at least in this area they are.

There are some things that do not taste good to me anymore. I used to LOVE white chocolate raspberry fat free yogurt but just the smell of it makes me gag now. There are other things, too.

It's not everything - just a few select items. None of which I'll miss much in the long run.

Not at this point, but can't wait until it happens! Especially when chocolate doesn't take good.....and right now I luv that Choc/Rasberry yogurt!
