Has anyone ever used a personal website or one of the crowd funding websites to raise the funds to get the lap band surgery done? I don't have insurance or the money saved to get the surgery due to being underemployed and part time employed. Since I'm male, without children, and under 65, I don't qualify for any government assistance.

There some times contests with surgeons, for a free surgery- also in TX there is some kinda group also that people have tried to get surgery money. Medicaid does pay depending on state etc. google google google and youtube.

Never heard of it...I bit the bullet and went to Mexico, in total it cost me $5582.00 including flight...It was worth it...
