Issues With Jewelry??

Okay...I've noticed that, since my surgery, my 14k gold rings are turning my skin grayish-black. :( They used to only do this around that TOTM (sometimes)...now its every day. Is anyone noticing this and is there anything I can do about it?

I have had that problem with some types of gold my entire life. I was told that it's the acid in your skin that causes it. Not sure how much truth is behind that, but I have no problem with silver jewelry. My mom has a similar issue with watches. She can buy a really good watch and it will stop working in no time at all. The same thing was told to her about that once.
